Day 1 Queenstown, NZ. 2.23

Finally departure day. Woke nearly an hr earlier than we had to so was on the road at 2.45am, 45mins ahead of schedule. I always give us an extra hour just incase something unforeseen happens, now we have 2hrs extra! We left the car at Andrew's airport parking and jumped in their shuttle bus to the airport. 

Breakfast at 5am at the airport, departure is at 9.35am.

No plane, no friends...must be because we don't leave for another 3 hrs 🙄

And this is what happens when you wake up too early 😴

After a 3 1/2 hr flight we had a very spectacular arrival in Queenstown, NZ. Snow topped mountains basking in the sunshine. I'm already in love with this beautiful town.

Hello New Zealand. 

We have a heated towel rack in the bathroom.

Went for a 2 km walk to get a couple of essentials and had dinner in town.
