Day 7 Queenstown 4.3.23

We're having a 'day off' today. Everyone had a sleep in. I went for a short walk on my own this morning to collect my thoughts as it's 2 years since my son passed away.

Apparently the water temperature is around 8°, people are swimming.

Our accommodation.  We couldn't have picked a better place. Our rooms are serviced every day. Anything we have used they replace. Today while we were out they put the dishwasher on.

We wandered down to town via the gardens in search of a Fergburger for breakfast.  I'd seen a lot about it being a must do. Each time we tried earlier the queue was horrendous. Today we timed it perfectly and weren't disappointed. I had a delicious Morning glory burger (bacon and egg plus lots more) and Mark ate Bambi!(a venison burger)

Quite a few very tall trees in Queenstown.

It's hard work wandering around. We found a quirky little bar to have some refreshments. Some of the  decor was  cycling related.
MTB trails etched into the table top.

The toilet door was an old fridge door.

These were just pictures in framework to make it look like a book case.

Walked along the warf.

The trees are changing colours.
Our afternoon was spent just chilling at home. In the evening we walked into town to watch the sunset.

7.47pm. Waiting for the sunset colours that didn't really happen.

Albatross

8.18pm. Lots of seagulls around.
8.29pm.
Today's temperatures 9-13°

We walked 10kms today.
