Carmel, our hostess, cooked us a hot breakfast which we enjoyed with a couple from Auckland.
Our first stop was only about 2kms in to the town of Oturehua. It had rained overnight and it looked like it may continue this morning.
Andrea has decided we need a photo each morning. I decided it should be under something that says where we are.
Spelling mistake in the blurb from Google. Apparently it's the oldest store still selling in the South Island.
Apparently we are halfway between the equator and the south pole!
Took a side trip to check out an old goldmine.
We had to climb over fences.
We had to stop and play with a baby goat who had slipped under the fence to say hello.
Today we rode 34kms.
The weather was a beautiful 26° today and we were back riding in shorts and tshirts.
